In addition to spray coating process, super-hydrophobic coatings can also be applied using vacuum evaporation process. We provide vacuum evaporation tablets made from the undiluted Shin-Etsu KY series agents. Customers can select the appropriate agent for their coating requirements, such as KY-1901 (KY-1908), KY-1950, or KY-205.
After confirming the vacuum evaporation equipment and acceptance criteria with our customers, we can customize the tablets to meet their specific needs.
Product Features
Our tablets use fully oxygen-modified active silane as the main raw material, processed under carefully designed formulas and precise control of production conditions.
Through the vacuum evaporation process, it forms a nanoscale layer with special properties, making it difficult for fingerprints and other oils to remain, while providing excellent surface performance that allows for easy cleaning.
Compared to other traditional tablets, the coating produced by our tablets is more uniform, more wear-resistant, and has superior aging resistance.
The evaporation process generates less pollution and can be widely applied to the surfaces of touch screen glass panels (mobile phones, monitors), glass products, plastics, and metal products.
· Dynamic friction coefficient: Load 100 grams, speed 500mm/min, A4 paper.
· Abrasion test: Load 1KG, 10mm x 10mm, 40 cycles/min, 5000 cycles.
· Abrasion test: Load 1KG, Samsung eraser, 40 cycles/min, 3000 cycles.
Precautions Before Use
These tablets are not recommended for direct evaporation onto inert substrates, such as smooth plastics, metal oxide surfaces, or electroplated surfaces. Surface pre-treatment or deposition of a buffer layer is required.
Ensure the substrate is clean (free from contaminants and grease) before evaporation. The performance of the coating layer depends on the surface treatment of the substrate, and different surface treatments are recommended for different substrates.
These tablets are specifically designed for vacuum evaporation. When heated at high temperatures, harmful gases may be produced, so do not heat them in an atmospheric environment.
Packaging, Shelf Life and Storage
The processed tablets will be vacuum packaged. Three months from the date of production (Storage requirements: with temperature 1~10°C ).
After removing the packaging, the net weight of each tablet will vary depending on the titration amount of the active agent as per the customer's requirements.
